  The Trust

Jack Bradshaw was Director for Education for Dorset from 1959 to 1974. During this time he
worked hard to help the young people of Dorset to take full advantage of all that education in its
widest sense could offer, not just in terms of the core curriculum but also outside it, such as in
the arts, in sport and in experiencing other cultures and environments.
After his death in 2004 a trust was set up specifically to help people educated in Dorset to take
advantage of today's educational opportunities. Each year the trustees make a number of
awards, normally between £50 and £1000, as contributions to specific identified costs.
